I’m not one of those girls who is good with hair. I think the only girls who are good at hair are those who actually sit down, play around and practice styles and techniques. I don’t really have the time or the inclination for all of that.
So my favourite hair products are ones which make it easy to have nice looking hair, without fuss or bother. I’m a lazy girl at heart!!
So first up is the tool every girl with long, fine hair has in her tool box of tricks – the Tangle Teaser! I couldn’t live without this little gem. My hair is so knotty with I get out of the shower, even though I don’t rough dry it. Also when I’m blow drying my hair in the haphazard way I do, I sometimes find that the ends dry first, which makes getting a brush through it really hard. So I use this when I blow dry too.
Before I get to the blow dry stage however, I add a couple of pumps of this Tresseme Split Remedy. I add it to my fingers, then run through from the middle of my hair to the ends. This really does make a huge difference in the number of split ends I get. I would thoroughly recommend you use it every time you wash your hair.
Then I spray this Loreal Elett Satin heat protect spray – for wavy hair, all over. I love this stuff, it not only protects my hair from heat damage, but smells amazing too!
If I haven’t done a very good job blow drying my hair, or if I’ve curled it then brushed it through, I’ll sometimes add a little of this Bumble and Bumble Brilliantime serum to my locks to help tame any pesky frizz!
Now this little tube must be about 7, maybe 8 years old! I don’t use it that often, but a you only need such a tiny, tiny amount. I probably should just buy a new one, but this still seems to do the job. I don’t know if serum ‘goes off’ in the same way some make up does. But it’s going on my hair, not my face, so it probably doesn’t matter so much!
For the days I don’t blow dry my hair (namely weekends, and all summer long!), I love to spray a bit of sea salt spray through it to give it a bit of body and texture. I got this Bamboo Style Boho Waves in a Glossybox last year and love it. I find a little goes a long way – I’m almost finished with this bottle, but it’s lasted me a jolly long time!
And so that’s it! My favourite hair products. It’s not a huge list – as I said I’m not really a ‘hair’ kinda gal, but I would be lost without all these little gems.
