You may recall a while ago I had a giveaway of a tube of La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo as I had gone to Boots and bought here tubes on one of their popular 3for2 deals.
I’ve now worked my way through my two remaining tubes and I can see why people rave about it so much!
I think it’s definitely helped to clear my skin up, and if feel it’s had a positive effect in reducing any future breakouts (although it’s not completely stopped spots forming. It’s good, but not a miracle worker!).
So I trotted off to Boots to repurchase it again (buy it from Boots online here for £15.50) and whilst I was there I decided to also buy the complimentary moisturiser, the La Roche-Posay Rosaliac UV Riche Fortifying Anti-Redness Moisturiser (£17).
As it says in it’s name, this moisturiser focuses on reducing redness. I get a bit of redness around my nose and chin which I’d really rather wasn’t there! So I hoped that this would battle that.
And I can quite positively say that it has. For the first time in a long time I actually feel relatively happy with my skin.
I still get the odd spot, which is all hormone based, so no cream is really going to stop that. But they do seem to be fewer and further between. They also clear up much quicker and sometimes don’t even get to that big angry stage – it’s like the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo nips them in the bud before they get to that stage.
And the redness around my nose and chin has really, really diminished. I mean really, a lot! It’s quite amazing really.
I quite often don’t bother with any concealer any more as my foundation seems to do the job. Whereas previously I used to rely heavily on the Vichy Dermablend Corrective Foundation (which I used as a concealer and is an absolute gem of a product if you suffer from bad acne or redness).
If you’re looking for a new anti-blemish, anti-redness skincare duo, then look no further than La Roche-Posay products. They really are my new favourite and I think I’m going to be using these two products for a long time to come.
