I’ve been meaning to review my Soap & Glory Beauty Sleep Accelerator cream for a while now, but haven’t got round to it… until now!
My skin has been feeling a bit dry recently. Mainly due to this cold weather we’ve been having (well it is Winter, I’m not sure why I’m at all surprised!), and also because I’ve had a couple of microdermabrasion facials and a glycolic peel, which although they’ve helped improve the appearance of my skin, have left it a bit dry and in need of some TLC.
So I picked this little bad boy up in Boots a month or so ago. It retails for £13.00.
I have to say that I absolutely love it! It goes on really well – a little goes a long way. And it soaks in straight away. I’ve found that some night creams in the past have tended to sit on my skin for a while, which isn’t the nicest feeling. But not this one, there’s no shiny or greasy residue left over from using it at all. I imagine that for this reason it’s a good one to put on your face during a long flight too – you won’t feel like some shiny skinned weirdo with this on your face!
It smells lovely too. I can’t quite put my finger on what it smells like though. Some kind of fruity cake I think. Although it’s scented, it’s not irritating to my skin at all. I wake up the next morning with visibly hydrated skin.
I’ve been using this a couple of nights a week and it really is making a difference. I’ve got quite bad skin at the moment anyway, but this hasn’t made it any worse. I often worry that maybe I poke about with my skin too much anyway (with various exfoliation tools, creams and masks), so I think this is probably good for even the parts of my skin that are quite spotty.
The only bad thing I’d say about it, is that the actual pot itself is a bit plain and boring. Not up to the usual Soap & Glory standards. But we can’t have everything can we girls?
Have you tried this cream? Or do you have any other Soap & Glory gems that I may not know about – let me know in the comments.
