Last Saturday myself and four of my favourite girls headed off to Brighton to take part in the Color Run. The Color Run is an American company (hence the spelling of ‘color’), and they aim to put on the “Happiest 5k on the Planet”. And it really was!
Basically, it’s a 5k run, and at each km they douse you in a different coloured powder. You start looking fresh and clean, in your white Color Run t-shirt, and end up looking like a sweaty rainbow! It hilariously brilliant.
They hold them all over the world, and in the UK they’ve hosted them in London, Manchester, Belfast and Brighton. I think this was the first year they’ve held them in the UK, and they’re definitely coming back next year.
We took a couple of disposable cameras, so I’m looking forward to getting those developed (it’ll probably take me months!). But my sister was very brave and took her iPhone with her, and snapped some of these beauties:
We ended up having so much fun, that you didn’t realise you were actually running a 5k race. There was even a bit of a party afterwards where everyone danced about, threw more coloured powder and just had a good old time.
