Recently I’ve been trying to made more of an effort to relax and de-stress. Work, family, friends and other commitment are all great, but trying to cram everything in can sometimes be a bit much.
So I downloaded an app called Headspace:
Headspace is a project designed to demystify meditation. Using the wonders of science and technology, we make it easy-to-learn, fun-to-do, and relevant to your everyday life.
I actually downloaded this ages ago, but have only just got round to using it. It starts you off on a ten day journey, guiding you gently into the world of meditation.
So yesterday was my first day. You sit down and close your eyes. Then the very nice man talks to you, helping you focus on your breathing, your body, the sounds around you, and how you’re feeling.
It was really relaxing! The ten minutes whizzed by. I felt calm and refreshed afterwards, and I’m really looking forward to doing my second day of ten minutes today.
No doubt I’ll report back after I’ve done my ten days and let you know how I found it.
