Now I didn’t post this on Monday, because it was a bank holiday and no-one needs motivation on a bank holiday!
I hope you all had a good one. Mine was lovely and relaxing. When home and saw the parents, came back and chilled on the sofa, had a delicious dinner and watched about five episodes of The Big Bang Theory before having a nice early bed (with a little bit of meditation thrown in just before to ensure a blissful nights sleep… although I did dream that I was an accidental terrorist. Not sure what that was about!?).
Anyway… so I love this little quote. It really is the recipe for happiness. Very simple in its approach, but not that simple to live by. In this materialistic, fast-paced world, it’s hard to live simply. I reckon I live pretty simply. I’m not hugely materialistic. I think that’s because I’m generally more of a saver than a spender.
The giving more and expecting less is a good thing to try and remember. It always feels so good to help other people (and not expect anything in return).
I’ve been blessed with the ability to not worry about things, which I think is one of the best gifts in life you can be given. Things are what they are – if you have a problem that you can fix, then go fix it. If you can’t fix it, then just forget about it. I really think worrying is such a waste of time and emotion. But that’s because I’m not a worrier. It’s easier said than done to not worry about things if you are a worrier.
Anyway, so I hope you all had a lovely bank holiday weekend. Shame the weather wasn’t better, but at least we got the odd bit of sunshine here and there.
Have a great week.
