As I mentioned in last weeks’ Motivational Monday (5 Simple Rules for Happiness), I’m not a big worrier. I’m blessed because this is a natural ability. It’s not something I have to work at.
But I do think you can work at worrying less. Worrying is a wasted emotion. It only causes stress and depression – it doesn’t actually solve anything at all.
This flow chart is pretty much how I live my life. If you have a problem which can be fixed (or attempted to be fixed), then go ahead and do what you gotta do. If you can’t fix/control it… well just forget about it. What will be, will be.
So I hope you have a good week – and if you’re worrying about something, then either try and do something about it, or just try and forget about it (or relax and just wait for it to pass!).
Me, I’m going to have a great week as it’s my birthday this week! So my biggest worry is whether or not my friends and family have stuck to the list. As Ross said (to Tag on Rachel’s 30th birthday)… “Stick to the list…always stick to the list“.
